Google Acquires Zenter
Google has acquired Zenter, a company which specialize in building software that allows create on-line presentations and slideshows. Nobody named the price that google paid for Zenter.

There is no doubt that soon (some rumors says it will happen this summer) we will able to enjoy new tool at Google Docs which now seem to become more like Google Office and may become a strong competitor for Microsoft Office.

Plugin to turn off Personalized Search
Now you can use this plugin (works with Firefox and IE7) that will automatically disable Google's Personalized Search. If you want do it manualy you must add &pws=0 to the end of the search string.

Google Personalized Search has been developed on late 2005. It remembers your search history and choices you have made by clicking on specify results. Based on that Google now can sort results for your query that should fit to your previous search behaviour.

SEO.com sold for $5.000.000
The domain name SEO.com (SEO - Search Engine Optimization) has been sold for 5 million dollars to a comapny named Web Target. Dave Bascom, new owner of SEO.com already have some plans what to do with this domain name:
SEO.com will continue to be a search engine optimization firm, but our website will also offer lots of good stuff like SEO resources, tools, articles, tips, and insight into the SEO/SEM industry. Stay tuned for a new logo, website, and a lot more.

$5M places SEO.com in million dollars domain somewhere near 6th place. Not bad.

Get Inside Google Search
Just a quick note. Today I found great article about Google on the New York Times. It gives some light on how Google's engineers work to improve their search algorithm. All SEO gurus should read it. ;) Here is small quote from the article:
Google recently allowed a reporter from The New York Times to spend a day with Mr. Singhal and others in the search-quality team, observing some internal meetings and talking to several top engineers. There were many questions that Google wouldn't answer. But the engineers still explained more than they ever have before in the news media about how their search system works.
